Your Chronic Joint Pain in Wrists Could Be Bursitis
Nov 25 2008, 1:13 AM EST
Sometimes wrist pain can be overlooked, but your chronic joint pain could be bursitis. Wrist bursitis can make life stressful, prohibiting you from simple daily activities such as getting dressed, writing, and even turning a door knob. Wrist bursitis can result from a number of things, but it is more common in athletes who participate in baseball, golf, tennis, or other activities that involve flexing the wrist. Wrist bursitis is more common in athletes because of the repetitive motion, and 9% of all athletic injuries involve the wrist. One of the most notable symptoms is a small lump with swelling on top of the wrist, with pain in joint when the wrist is bent backward or excessive weight is put on it. If you are experiencing these symptoms, have it checked out with your doctor to avoid further damage. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
